Eat the Rich is a social deception game inspired by the TV show Survivor. 6 to 10 punished billionaires compete in multiple rounds of brawls and mind games to earn pennies. A player gets voted out at the end of each round!
Most party games revolve around their minigames. In Eat the Rich, the minigames are quick, simple and familiar - mere tools to amass wealth. The real focus is in surviving the vote!
Your wealth is hidden from each other. You must figure out who's the richest and convince other players to vote them out because they will win if they reach the finals! This is a dynamic game. It only takes a few brawl wins and smart choices to jump from poorest to richest. Use your deduction skills to get a good gauge on everyone's ever-changing wealth.
Eliminating the richest may not always be the smartest option. Sometimes, keeping a solid voting ally is more important to ensure your survival. A devious billionaire knows the perfect time to betray a richer ally.
But what do you do once you're the richest? Manipulate and deceive to hide your wealth and avoid becoming the target! Some games split players up into groups, so players will have limited information about you. If you earned a lot, gaslight the others and pretend to be the victim with your fake news version of the events. Maintain your position and reach the finals to win!
If all else fails, spend some of your pennies to purchase advantages. These are powerful consumable items that can turn the tide in your favor. Here are some fun examples:
With all these devious advantages in the game, eliminations can often end with unpredictable results!
Spend wisely. It's always better to survive a vote through sheer convincing power to avoid wasting pennies.
Got voted out early? Worry not. You will become a Defector. Defectors can still win by earning pennies in a completely different way. While active players continue competing in challenges, you are unfortunately forced into manual labor of destroying random crates for a penny or two. The pennies you earn here can then be used to influence the ongoing game with powerful temptations! Some examples:
You earn a lot of pennies if a player accepts your offer. Spectate closely to determine which player is more likely to accept your offer. Use their selfishness to your advantage and you might just overtake everyone else in wealth and get a surprise win in the end!
