Ever wanted to be a Digital Forensics investigator? Get hired by a small private eye company and become their IT guy, helping solve cases requiring Digital Forensic skills. Your job will be to squeeze as much information as possible from data available in real files - be it in meta data, or just the content. Unzip password protected zip files, locate landmarks, find hints hidden in documents. The Case of Andrew D. follows on the ideas we introduced in The USB Stick Found in The Grass, you will also find it in a way similar to A Normal Lost Phone or Her Story.
Gameplay & content:
- browse the messages posted on the firm bulletin board by other members of the team, see how their investigations develop
- download files they uploaded to the server and analyze them on your computer, using any tools you want
- use the client to upload back or post information you gathered from the files, and see how they help others proceed with the investigations
- learn the narrative - every missing person, every stolen document, every request has its own story and there are often hidden layers
Features:
- an immersive way of introducing the narrative through a client program connecting to the server of a private eye company
- mixture of a real world and alternate reality - stories are placed in real places and require dealing with real files and real world locations
- hidden stories that explore difficult topics
