Are Ghosts Real?
Have you ever wanted to explore spooky locations and hunt for ghosts?
In Ghost Hunter Simulator, the player takes on the role of an aspiring ghost hunter or skeptic with the goal of building their social media empire - as the ghost hunters who finally found proof or the skeptic who exposes all those charlatans.
Ghost Hunter Simulator is not a horror game, but rather Cozy Spooky. Think Haunted Mansion, not Haunting of Hill House. Using an extensive tag system, players can tailor the content of Ghost Hunter Simulator to their preferred flavor and intensity of spooky.
Players will spend much of their time exploring allegedly haunted locations and gathering evidence of the paranormal, as well as learning the lore and history of the location. Ghost Hunter Simulator uses a first-person view and focuses on using real world ghost hunting tools to collect evidence - either that full-body apparition photo that proves to the world, once and for all, that ghosts or real, or a video clip debunking the local ghost story by showing that the curtains only move because there's an air vent across the room that kicks on.
Believer or Skeptic, once you've gathered your evidence, the next step is to tell everyone. Via a puzzle like game, the player will sort and tag their evidence (e.g. "spooky", or "funny", or "EVP", or even "Prank") to post on various in game social sites - like BooTube or Deaddit. Follow the trends and your audience to earn fame and fortune - which coincidentally allows you to ghost hunt at more famous locations, with cooler equipment.
The locations visited in Ghost Hunter Simulator range from real world locations you COULD go visit in real life to fictional ones, including a few locations that no longer exist. Explore in safety, from the comfort of your own home, and find the evidence (or lack thereof) of ghosts!
Ghost Hunter Simulator is currently in development by Ryan and Kim Steiner, two former AAA developers, along with support from Matt Fossen and Ross Sigworth. Ghost Hunter Simulator will be updated at regular intervals - not only for bug fixing, balancing, expanding systems, and such, but also adding in new levels and places to explore.
