Introducing SRPG Studio EX, the faithful evolution of SRPG Studio!

On April 10th 2015, a 2D pixel artstyle SRPG development software--SRPG Studio--was born. Original games could be made without knowledge of programming and graphics. This core philosophy has been carried over the course of 10 years, giving rise to a new version--that is, SRPG Studio EX! With SRPG Studio EX, you can create games with more modern visuals and vibrant worlds!

High resolution is the new standard!

We received a lot of feedback regarding the traditional SRPG Studio. In particular we received many comments about how the game screen is small. To address the issue, we raised the default resolution from 640x480 to 1024x768. As a result, font size is larger and should be easier to read as well.

Completely new tiles sets!

Not having enough tile sets leads to the major problem of not being able to create the world you envision. As such, in the new SRPG Studio EX, not only are there more, but we included a wider variety of tile sites. We also changed the size from 32x32 to 48x48 so you can make higher quality maps.

Projects are transferable!

Believe it or not, you can load projects made in SRPG Studio in the new SRPG Studio EX! It will require a little prior setup, but you will be able to continue game development in SRPG Studio Ex.

It is a lot of work to make all of your game assets on your own. Not to worry, you can download assets and plugins by accessing the SRPG World website. SRPG Studio EX is functionally highly compatible with SRPG Studio. You can expect to be able to use a lot of plugins as they are in the new SRPG Studio EX.
