Still Hope is a 3D, story-rich, investigation, narration-focused, psychological horror game. You play as Sam, an investigator. Formally a doctor, Sam has a past that he's not proud of. Now, he investigates cases to atone for those past mistakes. What were his mistakes? That's a part of the story.
Helixcore BioSystems is a large pharmaceutical corporation. Without revealing too much, let's just say that due to disputes between the head of the team here and the board of directors, the whole research area has been shut down. Why dispute? That's also a part of the story.
Jess Miller, a researcher, goes missing during this brawl. The island has lots of places (some visible and some hidden), and the gameplay is mostly at night to stay away from any eyes.
The game incorporates horror elements that blend the current situation with his past life. The horror part specifically focuses on the psychological horror genre.
The main character does not have weapons, but it gets to pick a few inventory items to make the investigation easier. There is a limited space for items, so pick them carefully before each mission.
The game is narration-based, where the main character is connected to his wife over the phone, who is an IT expert helping him find the things to look for.
The gameplay is about 3 hours, where you not just get to play the game, but live the story.
Where is Jess? What did Sam do in his old life? Who else is involved in the game? What's the dispute?
We'll have all the answers in the game.
