The X-2HX virus, eradicated human life on inhabited soil forcing life on the open sea. You play as Matthew Cole, a lead bioengineer working on “Sonorous” - a low frequency cure to eradicate the virus from the soil - alongside scientists from around the globe onboard the "Fortune", a floating military research facility. The only problem – The "Fortune" got shipwrecked in the deep sea, with humanities only hope onboard. You survived. Your mission: Stay alive and find a way to retrieve Sonorous in an everlasting battle against starvation, thirst and ruthless enemies!
