Games Like ShadowKitty: Thief by Night

HIGH SCHOOLER BY DAY, THIEF BY NIGHT!

ShadowKitty: Thief by Night is the adventure of a teenager catgirl stealing back stolen arts from criminals and bringing it all back to the museum. The game is a fun 2D Action Platformer heavily inspired by games like Megaman X, Spelunky, Ducktales Remastered and CupHead, while also being inspired by retro cartoon shows like Batman: The Animated Series, DuckTales, TMNT - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men and DarkWing Duck. There´s also a little bit of Anime influences in the game.

❖ GAMEPLAY ❖

Shadowkitty will be a fast paced action platformer where you must search every stage for stolen arts and defeat a Boss at the end of each stage.

ShadowKitty can make combos with her claws or use non-lethal weapons (Gummy Gun, Boomerang and Smoke Bomb) against her enemies.

You can unlock a Secret Boss if you collect a secret art piece in each regular stage, but don´t worry, you can replay, I mean 'Reprise' each stage again anytime, but since the layouts of the stages are all procedural, the layout will always change everytime you play the game or enter/restart a stage.

There are a few puzzles in the stages, but nothing really complex, like avoiding lasers, searching for keys, hiding from searchlights or pressing a button in a terminal that unlocks a door for a limited time. There´s also some Visual Novel story segments in the game (but you can skip all cutscenes). Defeated Bosses will reappear again for a re-fight in the final stages of the game.

There are a few game modes planned for the game: • Story Mode • Challenges • Boss Rush • Survival • Gallery • Leaderboards Some game modes may have some difficulty options: Easy, Normal, Hard or Mania.

❖ INTENDED AGE RATING ❖

ShadowKitty aims for a ESRB +10, PEGI 12 and CERO B ratings. It will have Cartoon Violence and some slightly Mild Language.

❖ LANGUAGES ❖

The main language of the game will be English, with options for subtitles in Portuguese BR. There are plans to add more languages if the game gets enough funding for the translations. Planned languages (subtitles and menus only) may include: Spanish, German, Italian, French, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Arabic.

This game uses handdrawn sprites for all the animations. ShadowKitty: Thief by Night is currently in the prototype stage. A short demo of the game will be available later.

✦ ShadowKitty (Alyssia KittyField) A highschooler trying to recover all stolen arts from the museum.

✦ Arséne Mask (Unknown) ShadowKitty's rival. A mysterious thief from overseas that uses a high tech mask.

✦ Ninja Cat Eiji (Eiji Ishikawa) Heir of an ancient ninja clan, he´s being manipulated into making crimes.

✦ Queen Bee Annette (Annette Pantalonia) A dangerous queen bee with hundreds of bee servants.

✦ Big White (Paollo Whitefang) Tony Montiger's Right Hand. He also commands the henchmen of the organization.

✦ Mei Kitty (Mei Ling Guanyu) A powerful Asian feline.

✦ Punk Wolf (Roul Ashnard) A guitarist with shocking skills.

✦ Chimp Lee (Nao Guowang Lee) A martial arts enthusiast.

✦ TV Head A crazy cat who runs a dangerous tv station in the city. Nobody knows if he's actually a robot, cyborg or something else.

✦ Witch Kitty (Selina Le Rouge) A powerful teen witch from a bloodline of feline witches.

✦ Lydia DarkBunny (Lydia de Caligari) A powerful bunny magician from overseas.

✦ Countess Bloodstone (Aldrid Bloodstone) A lonely singer tricked by her music manager into committing crimes.

✦ Flora Alraune An opera singer and the adopted daughter of Tony Montiger. She rules the Casino of the city.

✦ Tony Montiger The mobster who rules the city through his criminal organization.

✦ Death (Secret Boss) She´s not the "real death", she actually cames from a Nightmare.
