Hey CaraVanguards, we've released a hotfix patch to address some issues we were seeing due to the re-enabling of some features. The demo feels much more stable than it did a few months ago, hooray!

Fixes

* Enemy Bug Fixes

- Fixed a bug where enemies would break on your first combat initialization with them.

- Fixed a bug where enemies wouldn't go into the proper retreating state causing them to follow the player for longer than intended.

Changes

- Ashira and Cyax now only have a few moves to start with.

- Game over UI now resets and sends the player back to the main menu while we work on larger features.

- Audio tweak on flutter (the audio level was wildly annoying).

- Lighting tweak on scorching cross.

Known bugs:

•

Some features getting reimplemented are currently breaking enemy AI. We are working to get this resolved ASAP.

Fixes:

•

Fixed an issue where enemies that normally are static (training Bopbags), would mystically start floating away.

•

Re-Added the Lock-On feature (MMB, for Right Stick Click).

•

Combat setup refactor (We're still working on this).

•

Turned on certain collisions so items won't roll off the map.

•

Staggered now displays the correct VFX on a poise-broken enemy.

Changes:

•

Barry's skills color tweak.

•

VFX for Ignition shift added and tweaked.

•

Players now have to go to the last page before they close a tutorial (so they miss information by accident).

•

Mousing over items will now shot their stats.

•

Fixed a bug where cycling through menus wasn't working as intended.

Hey CaraVanguards! We have a hotfix for a few issues we noticed in playthroughs.

Fixes:

•

Fixed a bug where switching to the action phase menu would lock you out of using Rev for the remainder of the play session.

•

Fixed a few more infinite energy bugs.

QoL

•

Added placeholder icon indicators for skills in the action phase menu that use Rev for alternate effects.

•

Added a visual indicator for when Ignition Shift is used

•

Simplified tutorial info in the cove on how to use Rev.

Patch 0.0.1.6

Hey Vanguards! We have some updates for you guys as we continue to stabilize across single-player and multi-player. Fixes:

•

Fixed input display issues on mouse showing "R" instead of "Left Click".

•

Displays on buttons will now auto update when you swap between controller and keyboard.

•

Fixed a bug that would force players to always go through the tutorial.

•

Fixed the stats on the Acolyte Manual.

•

Fixed a bug where you could open the chat box and it would put the user into a soft lock.

Changes:

•

Added a few small extra steps in the tutorial to explain some of the games features.

•

Kickstarter button added to the main menu screen.

•

D-Pad Input images are now displayed for your quick select items in the HUD.

•

Inputs are now displayed in the action phase menu, making it more clear on which skills you are using.

•

Increased the scrolling speed in the "How To Play" menu.

Known Issues:

•

There are a few infinite mana issues that we are still resolving.

•

Multiplayer has a few chest spawn inconsistencies.

•

In a multiplayer session, rev seems to breaks.

•

There are health / mana issues when weapon swapping.

Tutorial Island Update

Through user testing and feedback, we’ve added a tutorial island to the demo to let players get a better understanding of the controls and gameplay style of CaraVanguard.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug where Ignition Shift would throw you off the map.

Fixed a soft lock where pressing buttons on the controller before the game would break the menus.

Fixed a bug with telegraph spells in multiplayer.

Fixed a bug where inputs between gamepad and keyboard/mouse would lock in multiplayer.

Current Issues:

•

Acquiring skills may break the skill unlocks temporarily, closing the menu a few times should eventually restore the skill menu back to it's normal state.

Demo

Welcome to the CaraVanguard demo! This is a short gameplay demo for the full game. As this is not a final product, if you run into any issues, please send support tickets through email to email protected.

The demo includes, 2 of the 7 characters that will be in the full game. Skills from from 3 different weapon types, as well as skills from 2 character classes. Multiplayer is live and supports up to 7 players.

Known Issues

New Hotfix: Fixed an issue where equipping a weapon would break your inventory. Current Issues:

•

Asha's abilities that use telegraph(Discompose, Fulgur Blossom) stick directly to her on controller.

•

Final boss may sometimes not send the "Game Over" screen to all players, forcing the player to go kill other enemies to resolve the boss combat.

•

Enemies out their combat zones may have their A.I break occasionally.
