The power of the kick

The contact point on the ball

The direction of impact
Those parameters decides the trajectory, and the animations are just scenery.
When the contact point is off-center, the ball spins and is affected by the Magnus force.

If the ball spins horizontally, its trajectory curves left or right.
•
If the ball spins vertically, the Magnus force pushes it downward, causing the ball to dip faster (see "David Luiz's freekick masterclass" on Youtube)
Top-corner goals are rewarded with a higher score, and it will also be multiplied by the combo count, so don't miss and take risks with the top corner when you can.
This game is a good choice to relax and chase your high score for half an hour every now and then. There are leaderboards for you to compete with your friends as well!
