Kim Sim is first and foremost a sandbox, and how you choose to play in that sandbox will have a dramatic effect on the atmosphere of Pyongyang. The story, people, weather, props, plant life, sound design and general look and feel of the world gradually shifts with your level of Corruption and Citizen Approval, among other factors.

Citizens in Kim Sim possess a number of different attributes that have an influence over their behavior. They'll remember the things they see you do and they'll form an opinion of you based on them. Citizens can be appointed to Advisory roles where they can help unlock new policies. You'll need to make decisions about surveillance, security, immigration, news and propaganda, and more. Your policy choices can significantly alter Pyongyang, and selecting the right policy choices is essential when developing a strategy for Approval.
