About the game world

After a failed experiment on implementing a new type of nuclear energy, aimed to replace electricity, the experimental "wireless town" of Millertown was abandoned in the late 1950s.

However, 20 years later, interest related to this town arises again. A new generation of collectors is willing to pay pretty generously for any artifacts from the Millertown, which was once predicted to have a bright future but was unexpectedly sealed off behind concrete walls and forgotten for decades.

Well, where there's demand, supply follows.

Adventurers, infiltrating Millertown and exploring its various locations searching for valuables to sell, formed a community of Artifact Seekers.

The U.S. government, observing the increasing number of unauthorized entries, but unwilling to draw public attention or use armed forces, creates a new role: a Hunter. Their task is to track and detain Seekers in the abandoned town.

The abandoned In Paris hotel, located in the town center, serves as a hub of the local underground community. Here, Seekers and Hunters maintain a neutral zone alongside traders, artifact dealers, and guides who know the town like the back of their hand and are willing to escort adventurers - for a not-so-modest fee.

A code of conduct is in force: no conflicts on hotel grounds, and any arrests must happen only if the target is caught red-handed within the town territory. For missions, both Seekers and Hunters wear masks and protective suits. Their suits provide radiation protection, while the masks conceal identities - helping to maintain peace in the safe zone. After all, no one knows exactly what individual they’re dealing with out in the field. Especially since some Hunters occasionally go out there searching for precious artifacts... and vice versa.

At the end of the day, everyone's here for the same reason. Hunters are chasing bounty rewards for each capture. Seekers are hunting treasure in hopes of a big payday. But both sides risk losing much more than they bargained for - because Millertown, as it turns out, is far from being deserted.
