You are Junior Cipher Agent Alex Yates stationed aboard a remote base on the edge of charted space, Eremite Station. Though small, the Cipher Division is responsible for intercepting and decoding messages from several factions. This position is largely administrative as the Alliance has enjoyed peace with its neighbors for over a century. However, should a conflict break out, Eremite Station may just find itself at the center of it.

Cipher Division is a choose your own adventure style narrative set in a distant sci-fi future. Progress the story by decoding substitution ciphers, reading the newscasts to learn about galactic events, and conversing with your fellow crewmates.

Interstellar messages encoded via substitution ciphers are intercepted from neighboring factions by Eremite Station. As a Cipher Agent, your job is to decode the transmissions using the tools at your disposal. As you decode the messages, the secrets they hold will be revealed.

Through conversations via your terminal, you will learn about your crewmates and how their stories are unfolding within the station’s walls. Gaining their trust through your interactions will provide you with additional information and opportunities as the narrative progresses.
