Every readied unit is available to deploy immediately. More powerful units carry a Recharge cost — rounds they need before activating. This keeps combat fast, removes artificial progression barriers, and ensures every decision on the battlefield is a genuine tactical choice, not a resource management puzzle. All units attack simultaneously at the end of each round. Plan wrong, and the entire board can flip in a single moment.

Each mission is carefully designed with its own objectives, battlefield layout, enemy composition, and narrative context.
