Games Like REMM: Space Adjutant

REMM: Space Adjutant is a real-time space campaign. You run a mercenary company in a procedurally generated sector that carries on without you. Empires expand, ally and go to war. Pirates raid. Wildlife roams the lanes. Take contracts, haul cargo, command fleets and decide who wins.

A living sector

Sectors are generated in several sizes, with varied star systems including binaries. Empires fight long wars that nobody scripted. Late in a campaign the Blight spreads from the frontier, and Crystal hives expand slowly across the map.

Real-time fleet combat

Command the whole fleet, or take direct control of any ship. Fight with turrets, missiles, beams, fighters, bombers and capital ships. Shields come as a standard bubble or the pricier Conformal Shield Lattice, which hugs the hull. Moving asteroid fields block fire.

A finite, physical economy

Seventeen commodities, from food and ore to strategic systems and contraband. Every port holds real stock. Buying empties shelves and raises prices, and deliveries relieve shortages. Colony industries consume inputs and export outputs. Black markets trade in fenced goods at the risk of inspection, and military markets require a commission.

A mercenary career

Work contracts, bounties and private jobs from port contacts. Build trust with the people who give you work and standing with every faction. Earn military commissions. Rival player and NPC companies compete for the same jobs.

Colonies and empire building

Found worlds, build industry and leisure districts, set policies and run operations. Colonies are deliberately expensive. The endgame is growing from a mercenary company into a power in the sector.

Multiplayer

Host a sector and invite Steam friends. Everyone runs their own company in the same world. The host runs an authoritative server through the Steam relay, so no port forwarding is needed. Drop out and rejoin and you keep your ships.

Moddable to the core

Ships, weapons, factions, creatures, stations and economy content are plain data files. The bundled Content Studio editor checks hull art and auto-mounts turrets. Publish to the Steam Workshop from the game, manage mods in game, and joiners in a lobby subscribe automatically.

Alpha

REMM: Space Adjutant is in alpha (version 0.1.0). Systems are still being tuned, including the trading economy at freighter scale. Features planned but not yet built are not listed here. The game ships with a skippable tutorial and tooltips throughout. Windows 64-bit only.
