Games Like Tension Engine

Tension Engine is a way to play a Horror TTRPG remotely with friends. It is a tool set that revolves round the stack. The stack is a pile of objects the players have previously placed at the hosts requests to progress the story. If an item  falls off the stack while a player is placing, the player dies. 

The host can inject complications to make the players job of placing an item on the stack harder, Things like reducing the lighting, randomizing item sizes, or decreasing the stack width. 

Tension Engine isnt about winning or losing it is about the host and the players telling a story together. Tension Engine provides the Suspense chance and skill to the game. The players and hosts brings the story. 

This is rules light and meant to enable people to play from anywhere around the world. 

This is similar to the TTRPG Dread, however using item piling in place of the trademarked 54 stacking block game.
