HANDY NEW YEAR!
SteamAbout HANDY NEW YEAR!
💥 Handy new Year! 💥 Welcome to Neapolis. It’s New Year’s Eve. Here, we don’t play games.
Step into the shoes of Lino, the quintessential neighborhood scugnizzo (street urchin) with a single, deafening mission: turn midnight into the loudest, wildest firework storm the city has ever seen.
Fueled by his state welfare check and a thirst for glory in the rione (district), Lino is ready to risk it all. Every explosion isn’t just noise. It’s Respect.
Your goal isn’t to wander aimlessly. Your goal is to tame Neapolis. You’ll navigate a few key alleys, but every step serves one purpose: even more noise.
💣 Game Loop: Noise, Fingers, and Decibels
Start with modest firecrackers (Mini Cicciole, Track) and a tight budget. The mechanic is brutal but simple: Noise = Money = Glory.
📈 Adrenaline & Respect: Every successful launch boosts your adrenaline level. Higher adrenaline means more respect, unlocking access to increasingly dangerous goods.
💰 Currency of Chaos: The in-game currency is “Fingers,” alongside your starting welfare bonus. The real jackpot? The Chaos Bonuses, awarded after midnight.
⚠️ Illegal Shopping:
•
Share the noise: Distribute firecrackers to citizens in need and get them involved in the "manifestation of noise."
•
Black Market: Buy progressively more powerful—and prohibited—firecrackers from shady vendors. The louder the bang, the higher the risk… and the reward.
🚨 Risk Management: Survive New Year's Eve
When the clock strikes midnight, Neapolis becomes a warzone. The night is an intense survival challenge where risk equals reward:
•
Avoid Danger: Watch out for stray projectiles… and the infamous household appliances raining down from balconies.
•
Defective Charges: Not all illegal pyrotechnics are reliable. Watch out for faulty fuses that can blow up early and end your “night of glory” instantly.
•
The Decibel Meter: Your ultimate goal? Keep the city’s noise level at its peak for as long as possible after midnight. If the meter drops, you lose!
🔥 Game Features
•
Unique Setting: Explore a chaotic, fictional version of Neapolis, inspired by the New Year’s traditions of the Old Continent.
•
Explosive Variety: From misfiring fuses to blinding flashes, experience a vast array of both legal and prohibited pyrotechnics.
•
Legendary Fireworks: Unlock mythical items—the legendary, iconic firecrackers that every rione whispers about.
•
Secrets: Discover what lies hidden within the City of Fires.
If you love risk, dark humor, and the smell of gunpowder… Neapolis is waiting for you.
