A low-poly comedic precision platformer where your dad’s “back in my day” school stories become a playable nightmare. Every death makes the tale more ridiculous—blizzards, reverse winds, “uphill both ways,” and more. One goal: reach school.

How Did My Dad Go To School
SteamAbout How Did My Dad Go To School
How Did My Dad Go to School? is a low-poly, comedy-driven, precision platformer where dads’ endless “Back in my day…” school stories turn into actual gameplay.
Logic doesn’t live here—because it got stuck inside Dad’s memory. Each level begins with an over-the-top dad line, and that line becomes a mechanic:
•
“Winters were brutal!” → icy floors, pushing winds, massive rolling snowballs
•
“It was uphill both ways!” → gravity gags and impossible slopes
•
“We had no shoes!” → tactical shoe/no-shoe choices that change how you move
With every death, Dad’s story escalates… and the world gets even more ridiculous. In this game, dying isn’t just punishment—it’s the punchline that unlocks the next layer of chaos.
Gameplay
•
Short, intense stages: 1–3 minute vignettes with quick checkpoints
•
Precision platforming: tight controls, readable hazards, “fair” difficulty
•
Shifting conditions: wind cycles, collapsing platforms, chase moments
•
One objective: reach school (while carrying Dad’s ego intact)
Content & vibe
•
Low-poly visuals: clean silhouettes, clear readability, snappy comedy animations
•
Humor-first presentation: dad quotes, signs, absurd details
•
Replayable runs: fewer deaths, faster times, cleaner routes
Can you finally make it to school… or will Dad’s story keep getting worse every time you fail?<br><br><span class="bb_img_ctn"><video class="bb_img" autoplay muted loop playsinline crossorigin="anonymous" poster="https://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/4291040/extras/ae632cdeddb368ee159d33e3333a6592.poster.avif?t=1777274753" width=736 height=60 ><source src="https://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/4291040/extras/ae632cdeddb368ee159d33e3333a6592.webm?t=1777274753" type="video/webm; codecs=vp9"></video></span>
