About Fear Tall Grass

Stay tuned for the Crusade’s call, Brother!

About the Game

Fear Tall Grass is an autobattler creature-collector roguelike where players navigate a looping board to capture, tame, and evolve a squad of monstrous allies, blending tactical board movement with real-time combat commands and deep meta-progression between every run.

The world is a silent witness to a fading light. In the swaying stalks of the supernatural tall grass, death waits with a thousand eyes. You are Gray, a young steward of the Oathguard, forced to lead a crusade of children and elders against a rising tide of monsters. To save what remains of humanity, you must tame the very beasts that slaughtered your kin and turn their corruption into your greatest weapon!

Survival is found in the loop. You will navigate a perilous, looping board where every roll of the two dice determines your path through the grass. Combat is a relentless dance of focus and timing.

•

Looping Strategy: Move across shifting paths and build on conquered tiles to eliminate future risks while securing vital bonuses for your run.

•

Tactical Focus: Your Vilekin fight with automatic focus bars, but your intervention is the key to victory.

•

Active Command: Spend limited Command Points to trigger abilities from your bench, allowing non-combating team members to swing the tide of battle.

•

Calculated Risks: Deploy items and swap creatures strategically to exploit elemental weaknesses during real-time pressure.

The Vilekin are more than monsters. They are your weapons, your resources, and your only hope. With 100+ unique creatures across six elemental types, including Hydro, Pyro, Nature, Physical, Volt, and Rock, your mastery determines the limits of their power.

•

Deep Mastery: Every capture increases your understanding of a race, unlocking powerful passives and the ability to evolve your team into devastating new forms.

•

The Sanctuary of Light: Between runs, retreat to your stronghold to upgrade buildings and use harvested resources for permanent meta-progression.

•

The Eternal Vanguard: While individual levels reset between runs, your mastery and evolutions remain. You are the architect of their growth, turning feral predators into a disciplined force that will eventually make the tall grass fear you
