Maps are not fixed - they evolve as the turns go by.

No artificial turn limits - play defensively or aggressively. The enemies will use the time to their advantage too! The map itself changes over time, but you can always overcome that increased difficulty with a good tactic.

Meaningful and powerful artifacts - there is no "trash loot". Items are rare and powerful.

Your units are unique - the unit crafting system allows countless builds and tactical combos. Want a magesword-style unit? Or maybe a necromancer that can use a bow? Make your dream unit come true!

Champions system - you can invest in larger army or in a more powerful unique leader unit, or mix those two. No need to manage a large army if you enjoy a more personalized, smaller-scale approach.
