THE POST

You will serve alone at the Narrows Checkpoint, controlling the ship traffic through the strait.

Each day, ships arrive seeking passage. Not all of them are cleared. Smart captains look for ways to fake an entry; some will try to smuggle contraband through the Narrows.

It is your job to sort them. Clear the approved. Stop the rest. Keep the lane moving at any cost.

Regional relations are, at present, in a period of adjustment. Officers should expect conditions to intensify over the course of their posting; hazard bonuses will be applied accordingly.

REQUIREMENTS

The Narrows is a high-volume posting. The Alliance seeks officers who meet the following criteria:

Registry proficiency: Must be able to operate the vessel registry and cross-reference documentation against records on file without assistance.
•
Acute vision: Strong unaided eyesight is essential. Much of what distinguishes a compliant vessel from an irregular one will not appear in its paperwork.
•
Sound judgment under pressure: Officers will make consequential decisions rapidly, repeatedly, and alone. Hesitation reduces throughput.

Composure in isolation: The post offers no relief, no partner, and no immediate support. Candidates must remain effective across extended solitary shifts.
