My Friends Below is a 2D top down horror game. It has a strong focus on narrative, atmosphere and exploration, along with puzzle-like gameplay to survive the dangers that you might come across. Figure out how various dangerous encounters work in order to maneuver through them and survive. During the day, interact with your peers and adults that manage the orphanage, go through the mishaps of the institution and learn about its clouded past. During the night, encounter your other friends and try to figure out their mystery while also trying to survive the night.

Gameplay

My Friends below is a narrative heavy game. It is mostly story driven and relies on a bleak, strong atmosphere to enhance the feeling of the story. However, as you traverse this environment, you will realize some things are eager to interact with you, as much as you are eager to interact with the environment. 

You need to keep an eye out for your surroundings and recognize the creeping dangers that might come your way. They won’t announce their approach, so you need to be vigilant. In a puzzle-like way, avoid these dangers, in order to keep going and progress the story.

Story

You are an orphan in a secluded orphanage. Witness the mishaps and conditions that burden the orphans. Feel the bleak atmosphere of the building and its premises. Listen closely to that familiar singing and follow it down to the basement, where you will realize you are not alone in the dark.

Following some unfortunate events that burden the building and its residents, you may realize that there is more to the orphanage than meets the eye. There is a past hidden in the nearby abandoned building. There is also something going on beneath the orphanage itself. Will you be able to solve this mystery?
