SKINSHIFT is an asymmetric multiplayer hide-and-seek game about mimicry, built on Unreal Engine 5. You're either a Hunter from the cleanup squad, or a Mimic — a sneaky little creature that can pass itself off as anything. And no, nobody turns into teapots and crates here (that would be too easy): Mimics reshape their own bodies, copy the material of a surface, mold themselves into a silhouette and freeze in the most ridiculous pose imaginable, just to pass for part of the scenery. Meanwhile, Hunters look for that one detail that "somehow doesn't fit." This is lighthearted hide-and-seek mischief with a side of "funny tension": cute little figures frozen absurdly in the corners, while someone with a dead-serious face combs the room in search of that one extra elbow.

Two sides

Players split into Mimics and Hunters — and each side has its own kind of fun.

Mimics (the hiders)

Your body is putty. Crawl across walls and ceilings, curl up into a ball, squeeze into the most brazen hiding spots. Grab a brush, repaint yourself to match any color around you — and blend into the background. Blended in? Freeze and hold your breath so the cleanup squad walks right past. After that — roam free and cause all the mischief you like.

Hunters (the seekers)

You're the cleanup squad, the bane of every Mimic. The task is simple: spot the troublemakers and catch every last one. Keep your eyes peeled, don't trust a single suspiciously flat wall, and don't miss the slightest oddity. Clear the location — and you've earned your bragging rights.

Two game modes

The main hook — manual body posing

You twist your own arms, legs and torso in real time — like pulling invisible strings. You can fold your hiding little body into any pose you want: stretch out along a wall, scrunch into a lump, stick to the ceiling, or absurdly "fold" yourself under the furniture. You sculpt the silhouette to match an object by hand, freeze — and whether you get busted or mistaken for part of the decor depends on how convincingly you held still.
