About The Lower Worlds I: Valenfeld

If you remember stepping off the ship in Seyda Neen — no marker, no arrow, just a journal, a rumor, and a direction — Valenfeld was built for you.

Valenfeld is a hardcore, procedurally generated open-world RPG for players who miss losing themselves in a game. No fast travel. No quest markers. No level-scaled world bending to meet you. Just a vast, dangerous land, the freedom to go anywhere, and the consequences of doing it unprepared.

Most games hand you a role. Valenfeld hands you a title. You're not an Adventurer here — you're an Explorer, and somewhere out past the edge of the map are the lost artifacts and buried technologies that could remake the world. Nobody is going to point you at them. That's the whole job.

🧭 An Open World Without a Leash

There is no map pin, no waypoint arrow, no menu-warp caravan. Directions are spoken, vague, and yours to work out. Distance is content — you cross the world on foot, by Levitate, or by your own Mark and Recall. Every journey is real. Every landmark is earned. Every discovery is yours, because nothing pointed you at it.

It's slower. It's harder. It's the way this genre felt before it got comfortable.

🪝 The World Gates Itself

Valenfeld doesn't wall you off with invisible barriers or level requirements. It gates you with the land itself. A mountain is a stamina bar and a cliff face. A ravine is a problem for a glider. A treasure ringed in traps is a problem for a hookshot — line up the shot, fly the gap, land on the prize.

This is the Zelda in Valenfeld's blood: Breath of the Wild's see-it-reach-it freedom and Ocarina's tool-gated secrets, dropped into an Elder Scrolls world. Every traversal tool you earn rewrites the map. That cliff you stared up at for hours, that island across the water, that ledge you could see but never touch — the moment you unlock the right movement, the whole world quietly opens a little wider.

And exploration pays for itself. Hidden across the world live the Glint — shy, glimmering creatures who reward the players who actually look. Find them and they hand you orbs; turn those orbs in for exploration gear that takes you places you couldn't reach before. The more you explore, the farther you can explore.

⚔️ Endless Builds, Endless Replayability

Progression is classless and skill-driven. At creation you choose 5 major and 5 minor skills, and from there you don't grind XP — you level by doing. Use what you're good at, rack up ten skill-ups, and you rise a level. The world never hands you a number; you earn it in the act.

No rigid archetype locks you in on day one. Climb per-skill specialization trees and shape a build that's genuinely yours: a hedge-wizard swordsman, a stealth alchemist who poisons from the dark, a shield-bearing battle-mage burning the world with a free hand.

And items are the power, not levels. You don't grind a stat — you find the godlike thing. Fixed, named, authored artifacts exist in the world as discrete objects, never random affix rolls. Vanishingly rare. Placed by danger. Never farmable. The greatest of them aren't just weapons — they're lost technologies, the ancient works an Explorer is really out here to recover. When you finally hold one, you'll remember where you found it — and what it cost you.

Every character you roll plays like a different game. This is a world designed to be started over, for years.

🗡️ Combat With a Ceiling

You're an Explorer — and a ferociously good monster-killer, because the combat rewards skill, not stats. Timing is everything. Land critical strikes on a well-timed swing. Parry into a riposte. Roll through an attack and punish the recovery. Charge a spell for the full weight of it, or snap off a weak tap when you're out of options.

Hundreds of enemy types, from humanoids to beasts, each driven by a real AI state machine — they circle you, bait you, target the opening, and roll out of yours. And the named bosses are genuinely tanky: no tank-and-spank, no health-sponge you out-gear. You out-play them or you die trying. (Coming soon: full weapon combos.)

🔥 Magic Without Limits

Over 300 spells across a full slate of magic schools — plus weapon techniques and bard songs riding the same effect pipeline. Charge your cast and feel the weight of a full wind-up, or snap off a weak tap in a panic. Dual-hand casting means a shield in one hand and fire in the other — or two different spells split between both hands at once, each charging independently.

Learn a spell once and it's yours forever: cast it, craft with it, enchant it into your gear.

🛠️ The Full Crafting Web

Nothing here is cosmetic — every discipline feeds every build:

Smithing — mine your own ore, tan your own hides, forge and repair at the anvil
Alchemy — forage the wilds and brew multi-effect potions from anything that combines
Enchanting — bind real magic into your gear, no soul-trapping required
Spellcrafting — one learned spell powers casting, crafting, and enchanting alike

The supply chain is real: the deepest ore sits in the deepest delves, the rarest reagents grow where the map gets dangerous, and a master alchemist can bottle four effects into a single draught.

🏰 Guilds, Factions, and a World at War

Join deep, questline-driven guilds — each with its own hall, culture, rivalries, and a story that runs for hours. And you don't just join. You rise. Climb until you're running the show: head of your great house, master of the Marrowlances (the warriors who live and die by the blade), the name a whole faction answers to. These are loooong questlines — the kind you disappear into for a season.

Beyond the guilds, five major factions are at open war, and your reputation with each is tracked individually — not just how much they like you, but how you're known to act. Help one power and you make an enemy of another. Cut throats in the dark and word travels.

This isn't a backdrop. It's a living conflict you can tip.

🤝 Bring Your Friends — or Fight Them

Valenfeld is built for the long haul with your group:

Drop-in co-op — explore, delve, and fight through the whole world together, with shared first-grab-wins loot: no duplicates, no instanced hand-outs, real stakes at the treasure chest
PvP in the Arena — daily open matches and weekly tournaments where your build meets someone else's, with real stakes instead of wandering monsters
Host your own sessions and find games through the in-game lobby

The build variety that makes solo replays endless is the same thing that makes every duel and every co-op party composition different.

🗺️ A World Built to Get Lost In

100+ dungeons, each built from its own toolkit — caves, barrows, sunken shrines you swim through, resonant vaults, road-tunnels bored through mountains, and sky-delves climbed across railless bridges over a bottomless void
300+ spells, 100+ enemies, and a bestiary that scales with how deep you dare to go — difficulty comes from distance, not from a slider
A world simulated from the rock up — geology shapes the terrain, terrain steers the rivers, water and climate draw the biomes, and towns and dungeons grow out of all of it. Nothing here is scattered by hand; it's a place, and it hangs together like one
Density that doesn't quit — a hundred hours in you're still finding hidden collectibles, locked and puzzle-gated vaults, farmsteads, hostile warcamps, and named bosses with signature loot
Living towns — gates that open at dawn and shut at night, walls that are manned, merchants who rotate stock daily and haggle, and NPCs whose dialogue is colored by who they are and where they're from
Crime that watches you — witnessed misdeeds follow your name; unwitnessed ones don't

💀 No Mercy. Just a World.

Valenfeld doesn't hold your hand — it trusts you to find your own way. Get lost. Get killed by something you had no business fighting. Come back stronger, or come back smarter. Then do it again with a build you've never tried, alongside friends you've dragged in with you.

For Scrolls fans. For anyone who ever climbed a tower just to see what was past it. For hardcore MMO veterans. For anyone who wants an RPG that respects the genre's roots enough to make you earn it.

No fast travel. No quest markers. No mercy. Just a world — and an Explorer crazy enough to map it.
