Games Like Spacewar

The oldest duel in space, replayed like day one - only better. In 1962, on a PDP-1 computer the size of a wardrobe, a handful of MIT students invented one of the very first video games in history: Spacewar!. Two ships, a merciless star, and gravity as the only law. This version doesn't go all the way back to the PDP-1: it's an adaptation of the 1980s MS-DOS version, the one that lit up the phosphor screens of a whole generation of PC players. We kept its soul - the vector lines, the unforgiving inertia, the twitchy duel - and opened it up to four players, online and on the couch alike.
