Chaos Protocol (Project R)

Chaos Protocol is a single-player gun-shooting game where players aim to cleanse an area by destroying enemies and eroded cores.

Players will undertake missions to destroy eroded cores and creatures with charming characters and a variety of weapons.

The game’s setting aims to create an immersive world by focusing on an occult atmosphere, cinematic presentation, and combat action.

Worldview

A catastrophe of unknown origin inflicted severe psychological damage on humanity, turning people into extremely violent beings, and the tragedy of endless bloodshed as people began biting one another.

To manage the situation, human memories and emotions were sealed in the form of a “core,” but

The core gradually formed an ego and collapsed on its own, and from the core strange phenomena and strange life forms emerged, plunging the world even deeper into chaos.

How to Play

Character

It is being developed so that players can switch between three characters in real time and increase survival rates by making the most of each character’s skills and traits. This was influenced by several subculture games.

It’s not a special feature, but when a character says a line, the mouth movements also animate.

Navigation element

I tried adding a navigation element to eliminate anomalies scattered throughout the map. It’s not something that must be eliminated, but with a little promotion, you can gain a point!

Combat

Two types of Normal monsters are prepared as major enemies, and more will be added. Players will engage in a fight for survival against those who were once human. 

While carrying the weapon that represents each character, you can also handle multiple firearms and have drones that assist with shooting.

The current combat system is centered around gunfire and grenades, but with character-specific skills, there are debuffs, fire-based sustained damage, recovery abilities, and so on

I’m also thinking of trying out simple melee weapons and parrying.
