The machines inside those networks have users, files and software running on them. Find a target, work out how it is configured, discover a way in and decide what to do once you have access.

Jobs arrive through the same in-game systems you use everywhere else. Read the brief, investigate the target, complete the objective and submit the result to get paid.

Machines, networks and services form part of a larger simulated internet and the world continues running when you disconnect.

Software in ROOTLINE is built from libraries that can contain vulnerabilities. Different versions expose different weaknesses and discovering one is only the beginning.

Resolve domains, scan ports, investigate running services and inspect process memory to identify vulnerable software, then piece together what you discover until you find a way inside.

As the world evolves, so does the attack surface.
