Awaken Beneath the Moon

You awaken in an unfamiliar settlement inhabited by castaways from different races, eras, and worlds. No one knows what brought them here, and no one has found an easy way to leave. The towers surrounding the settlement hold danger, power, and clues to the truth of this world. Prepare your build, enter their shifting floors, and search for a way forward through combat and difficult choices. UnderMoon is a single-player dark-fantasy turn-based tactical RPG roguelike, presented in 2D pixel art from a three-quarter top-down perspective. Movement, combat, and environmental rules all take place on a clear square grid.

Make Every Action Count

Build Your Character

Choose a race and combat discipline, then distribute Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Perception, and Will. Develop your character through interconnected skill trees and meaningful upgrade choices. Weapons, armor, accessories, consumables, and action-bar abilities shape your combat plan. Defeating a tower boss can also grant a powerful Tower Gift that changes how the rest of your run plays.

Turn the Environment into a Weapon

Water, ice, fire, lightning, acid, and steam are more than visual decoration. Freeze surfaces, ignite areas, spread electricity through conductive terrain, or force enemies across dangerous ground. Darkness, visibility, traps, hunger, and meal bonuses also affect exploration. Manage your supplies and decide when to push deeper or return to town and recover.

Climb Distinct Themed Towers

Explore multi-floor dungeons assembled from handcrafted and procedurally recombined spaces, each with its own environments, traps, enemies, and bosses. Return to town between towers to speak with its inhabitants, trade, reorganize your equipment, and prepare for the next challenge. If you fall, the current run comes to an end—but every defeat teaches you more about the enemies, the environment, and the build you truly need.
