Words are weapons

Spellk is a turn-based word-combat roguelite where every letter deals damage. Draw a hand, arrange the letters into valid words, and fire them across a pixel-art battlefield. Rare letters hit harder. With the right build, long words, linked words, critical tiles, or even a made-up catchphrase can become a devastating attack.

Build around the letters you get

Defeat an enemy and choose an item to shape the rest of your run. Add more letters to each hand. Raise the damage of chosen letters. Score critical hits. Play multiple words in a turn. Expand your potion belt. Bend the dictionary around a signature word.

Limited-use potions can redraw your hand, boost the current turn, add a letter you choose, or buy another turn before defeat. Every reward changes which words are worth chasing.

Spell together

Take the run on alone, or host a friends-only Steam lobby for up to four players. Each player builds from their own hand and develops their own items and potions. Lock in your words; when everyone is ready, the party's damage lands together. Enemy health scales with the party, so more spellcasters means bigger targets—and better teamwork.
