Welcome to the monastery

You are the cellarer, the monk responsible for providing everything your monastery needs. At first, there is little more than a cloister, a few lay brothers, and the land around them. From these modest beginnings, you will begin shaping a monastery that can feed its growing community, support their work, and grow beyond its first walls.

Make the monastery move

The monastery relies on its logistic network. Lay paths between your different workshops and the carts start to travel along them. Every workshops need regular deliveries, every cart requires a lay brother, and every lay brother requires a house and a daily meal! As the monastery becomes busier, you will watch its work unfold across the board, find where it has slowed or stopped, and reshape the network to set it moving again.

Raise the Belfry

Each new workshop allows the monastery to take on more demanding work, but it also places new pressure on everything already in motion. The demo follows this growth from the first simple production chains to the construction of the Belfry. Raising it is the final undertaking of the first tier and the result of the whole monastery working together.

A first look at the full game

The full version of the Cellarer will extend the monastery beyond the first Tier with new production chains, buildings, and customs. Its growing economy will support increasingly ambitious great edifices, culminating in the construction of a cathedral. Content, balance, and presentation remain subject to change during development.
