Roll each turn to advance across a hex board. Where you land decides what you meet — an encounter, a battle, a treasure, a request. Terrain is laid out fresh for every realm, so no two boards repeat.

An old board game at every gate

The trials that bar your road are ten traditional board games: Game of the Goose, Snakes and Ladders, the Royal Game of Ur, Mancala, Backgammon, Halma, Senet, Reversi, Pachisi, and Fox and Geese. Each is played one on one against the guardian of the trial. Win, and the road to the dragon opens.

159 souls to meet and bond with

Fight the souls you encounter, build a bond, and bring them along. Only six may travel with you — choosing who is the strategy. Souls evolve with level and bond, and rare variants exist.

Seven realms, eight dragons

Fire, water, forest, earth and sky, all the way to the final chapter. A dragon waits at the gate of every realm.

Catch your breath in town

Rest at the inn, equip at the shop, take requests from the townsfolk. Craft and trade for what you lack.
