Overview

This is a turn-based roguelite RPG in which you explore a first-person grid dungeon as a monster born at the bottom of the food chain. Roaming creatures can trigger command battles based on range and front- and back-row formations.

Devour or bind

Once a creature has been weakened, you choose whether to devour it or bind it as kindred.

The choice cannot be reversed. Deciding which creatures become part of your growth and which remain as companions changes how each dive develops.

Bloodlines and evolution

Any species devoured at least once becomes available as a starting species in a later life. Evolution branches remain hidden until their requirements are met, allowing the bestiary and evolution trees to be completed over multiple dives. Organs taken from creatures can also be embedded into the body to adjust its abilities.

Death and persistence

Death removes the current body and any kindred travelling with it. Collected blood and unlocked bloodlines remain, and the next life begins again as a hatchling. Kindred left at the nest are not lost. They can be recruited again in a later life by spending soul shards.

The dungeon

The dungeon uses a grid-based layout, with stronger creatures appearing at greater depths. Wardens wait at key depths, and new nests can be established as exploration progresses. Progress is saved automatically. Battles and earlier decisions cannot be rewound.
