Eight teams. None of them are good, and one of them is good in a way you are going to resent. Nine innings of REAL BASEBALL: force plays, double plays, tag-ups, the infield fly, extra innings, the whole apparatus, played by people who cannot be trusted with any of it. Every player on every roster has a name, a face, a number, and ONE THING WRONG WITH THEM. It is printed on their card, it is announced when it happens, and it will change how you manage the inning. That is the game. 106 players. 83 different things wrong with them. A cow in left field. A factory window in right that stays broken once you break it. A light tower that has been out since spring. An announcer who is not on your side.

THE FRANCHISE

Take over the club that finished LAST. Give it your own mark, your own name, your own colours, or keep theirs, it's your funeral. Survive the finale, then run the club for years: the winter, the draft, the retirements. Your players' careers go in THE BOOK. The great ones go on the wall, in THE HALL, and their numbers come off the board for good.

When the power goes off the season goes with it, and the game hands you a PASSWORD instead. Write it down. On paper. That is what the margins are for.

No image file, no sound file, no font file. Every sprite is ASCII in a source file and every note is arithmetic. 256×240, sixteen colours, and a sound chip that is doing its best.
