Games Like Another 2D Platformer

YES. IT'S ANOTHER 2D PLATFORMER.

Run. Jump. Collect things. Reach the exit.

You've done this before.

See? Completely normal.

OKAY. MAYBE NOT COMPLETELY NORMAL.

Things start changing pretty quickly.

Platforms launch you. Gravity gets questionable. The level starts expecting slightly more from you than just holding right.

Still a platformer though.

Probably.

JUMPING IS USUALLY QUITE HELPFUL.

Usually.

In Another 2D Platformer, even the basic things you take for granted can become part of the level itself.

So maybe think before you start bouncing around everywhere.

EVERY LEVEL HAS A DIFFERENT BAD IDEA.

Rather than giving you the same obstacle course ten times, each level plays with a different rule, mechanic or expectation.

Sometimes the level helps you.

Sometimes it absolutely does not.

And sometimes...

EVERYTHING IS A CRATE.

We don't know why either.

Crates.

Platforms made of crates.

Obstacles made of crates.

Probably some crates pretending not to be crates.

AND THAT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING.

Across 10 handcrafted levels, Another 2D Platformer keeps taking familiar platforming ideas and pushing them somewhere increasingly stupid.

Rules change.

Levels misbehave.

Things that shouldn't be mechanics become mechanics.

And the further you get, the less interested the game becomes in behaving like a normal 2D platformer.

But where's the fun in that?
