Count on Chaos is a single-player roguelike score game mixed with a virtual pet.

Solve problems. Build absurd equations. Pick powers that bend the rules. Care for your tiny calculator buddy while the computer slowly loses control.

It starts with simple math.

Next thing you know, the screen is full of error windows, gravity is broken, and the equals button is running for its life.

Use quick answers to stay alive. Build longer and stranger equations to earn bigger scores, more coins, wild combo effects, and special records.

Complete 20 correct answers to clear a level. Wrong answers and expired timers damage your stability. Lose it all and the run ends.

You do not need to be a math expert. Play it safe or make the most ridiculous correct equation you can.

BUILD A CALCULATOR THAT BREAKS THE GAME

After each level, choose one of three driver cards.

Drivers are powers that stay with you for the rest of the run. They can show helpful keys, block mistakes, add more time, or repair bad answers.

Each driver can reach five levels.

At first, it gives you a small boost. At full power, it may freeze the clock, fix every mistake, or start solving problems for you.

The game stops playing fair because you earned it.

YOUR BUDDY IS ALONG FOR THE RIDE

Your calculator is more than a machine. It is your tiny partner in chaos.

Feed it. Pat it. Charge its battery. Throw a party when things go well.

Build your bond and help your buddy grow into six adult forms. Raise new generations and keep past buddies in the Graduate Archive.

Dress your buddy in strange outfits. Change its bezel, wallpaper, stage, and effects. Fill its room with toys, chairs, and other rewards.

Your buddy’s growth, coins, items, records, and goals stay with you after every run.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

The old computer has problems of its own.

Error windows may cover your buttons. Operators can go on strike. Gravity can throw your buddy across the screen. The equals button may dodge your mouse. Closing one error might create eight more.

Chaos events are picked at random, so you never know what will break next.

The computer may lie, freeze, and panic.

The math never does.
