Lay out nodes on the board, wire them into an auto-hacking routine, light it, and let it run.

Place nodes on a 6×6 board and connect them through the direction their ports face.

SCAN makes a signal, BOOST amplifies it, FORK splits it, EXPLOIT drives it into the server.

As long as the line connects, the signal moves on its own — and keeps hitting.

Nothing burns while you build. Until you light up, thinking costs no smoke at all.

One cigarette is the timer and the budget

Every node you place eats burn time. The moment you light up, the whole placement cost burns off at once, and whatever is left is how long the routine gets to run.

The more you stack, the less time you have to run it. Spending that one cigarette is the whole game.

The more you smoke, the higher your addiction climbs — and once it maxes out, the signal starts to run wild.

It might come through twice as heavy. It might fly off somewhere useless.

Push on in that state, and a firewall can go with it.

Three rings down

RING 2 → RING 1 → RING 0. The deeper you go, the lower the number, and a boss waits at the bottom of each.

Bosses don't just hit back. They drop walls onto your board, kill the effects of nodes standing next to each other,

and reach into the circuit you built.

When the firewalls are gone, the run is over. Shops along the way carry nodes, and companions to smoke with

— canned coffee, whiskey, rice crackers — each with an effect of its own.

A different cigarette, a different build

Burn time, smoke color, how fast addiction climbs, the starting kit — all of it changes with the brand.

Your first one is LIGHT_BLUE. No character, no surprises. The rest are down there to be found.
