Games Like Sediment

SEDIMENT is a pixel-physics sandbox. Fifty materials, and none of them is a picture: sand pours and finds its angle, water floods and freezes, lava crusts into stone, acid eats whatever it touches.

EVERYTHING HAS A DENSITY

Gold lies below everything else. Wash ore into a basin and the gold settles at the bottom as a layer of its own. Not because a rule says "gold sinks", but because it is heavier than what is around it.

EVERYTHING HAS A TEMPERATURE

Pour water onto lava and you get stone and a flash of steam. Heat only reaches what it touches: a wall two cells thick is already the limit. That is why a furnace here has to be a chamber with fuel inside it, not a fire beside it.

SOME THINGS BURN, SOME EXPLODE

Sulphur over cinder makes gunpowder. Gunpowder does not simply burn faster: it turns into a hot expanding gas that lights whatever it reaches. A spirit fuse in a trench carries the flame to the far end.

EVERY GRAIN IS SIMULATED

These are not particles on top of a picture. The whole world is cells, and every rule is an exchange between neighbours. Mass is never created or lost by accident.

MAKE YOUR OWN MATERIALS

A material is a JSON entry: density, phase, what it melts into, what it absorbs. The editor is in the game. Publish a pack to the Workshop and it shows up in someone else's palette.

SHARE YOUR WORLDS

Save a level, publish it, subscribe to someone else's. A level declares which packs it needs, so a shared world never opens as grey stone where the materials should be.
