SteamAbout Jade Terrace
Uncle Wu, the old village healer, found you as a baby by the river outside Clearbrook Village, clutching a piece of jade, and brought you up. At sixteen, a fever brings back a past life: an office worker in a big city who stayed late every night. This time around, you start out with an herb hoe and a smithing hammer.
Auto-battles you can watch
No wall of scrolling numbers here: every cut you make and every hit you take plays out on screen. Whether you win comes down to the salves you bring and the armor you wear, and every boss has a heavy blow that makes it a real fight.
The Jade Realm: a roguelike deckbuilder
When you'd rather sit down and play than leave it running, step into the Jade Realm. You start with ten cards and earn more from fights, quests and work, and the more you collect, the more ways you have to build a deck. Each realm inside has its own enemies and a boss waiting at its heart. How far can your deck take you? Some realms even have chests that can hold companions and skill books.
Raise a band of beasts
Bring home the young of the wild: a hound that sniffs out herbs, a rock lizard that works the mine, a python that helps you brew, even a white tiger. Send them on expeditions, keep your fiercest at your side in a fight, and teach them new tricks with skill books. Collect enough of one kind and you can rank up your favorite. Every so often you'll come across a variant, born a cut above the rest of its kind.
Six skills, all the way to 99
Train Herbalism, Mining, Alchemy, Smithing, Weapons and Physique from level 1. Brew the salves that keep you alive, forge the blade that gets you past the next boss, and set it all running before bed. It'll still be at it when you wake up.
Explore tile by tile
Every place is one big painting, just faint ink lines under a layer of fog. Explore a tile and that piece of the picture comes into view: a patch of good herbs, a seam of ore, a beast's den, and now and then a find with a story of its own. Send a companion to explore while you're away, and come back to more of the map painted in.
The village that raised you
Uncle Wu, the smith, the hunter, the peddler, the old Village Chief: you've known them all your life. Most of the thirty quests are about helping them get by: refilling an empty medicine cabinet, relighting a forge that's been cold for years, driving the wolves back up the ridge and hunting the tigers that have overrun the slopes behind the Ruined Mountain Shrine. And for eleven years, the bandits of Blackwind Hold have sat on Blackwind Pass, the old road through the hills. That road is yours to reopen.
Offline progress, up to 12 hours
Whatever you set going, whether gathering, crafting or fighting, keeps running after you close the game. Single-player and fully playable offline. Buy it once: no ads, no microtransactions, nothing else to buy.
