Games Like Real-Time Tower Defense

Real-Time Tower Defense blends tower defense with real-time strategy. Up to 10,000 units fight on the battlefield at the same time. You don't control them yourself: your factories produce them automatically, and they march out against the enemy on their own. Your job is to design the base that keeps this army running.

Plan your base

You place mines, towers and factories on a grid. The mines extract three types of ore, which are transported to your buildings automatically:

Since every piece of ore can only be spent once, you constantly have to choose between defense, army and upgrades.

Fight smart

Units fight in melee, at range or from the air, and some are even stealthed. On top of that come protective shells of ice, stone or metal, which only the matching damage type can break through:

Units can also be upgraded, and that can completely turn the balance of power. A unit that was the perfect counter a moment ago may suddenly find itself at a disadvantage.

Your hero on the battlefield

You also steer a hero across the map. The hero mines ore, places buildings and joins the fight personally. Heroes can be swapped out and gain new, more powerful weapons through their own research tree.

Keep improving

Towers, mines and transport can also be upgraded during battle. In the campaign you unlock permanent upgrades for all later battles. Besides the hand-built campaign maps, there are randomly generated maps and missions with special objectives.
