At first, I just wanted something on my desktop to keep me company while I coded. And that’s how a little dragon that could walk around and fly across my screen came to be.
Then I thought: I spend every day reading research papers—could my dragon get stronger, too? So I gave it things to study and places to explore.
Later, I thought, “This game is getting really fun!” Could I share that fun with friends? So dragons learned to visit each other! And after getting judged for showing up empty-handed, they can now bring gifts!
More and more friends were joining in! But whose dragon was stronger? Naturally, the dragons needed a way to challenge each other!

While exploring, I found myself with nothing much to do… so I opened a certain deckbuilding roguelike. Then I thought: why can’t my dragon play one, too? Having two games open while sneaking in a little gaming time felt a bit risky… And that’s how roguelike tower climbing found its way into the Endless Tower!
One little dragon seemed a bit lonely. Could it have even littler dragons to keep it company? And so, hatching baby dragons became a thing!
Then I thought: wouldn’t it be cool if my dragon could dress up? And suddenly I was making art for outfits, hats, and wings…
What could all these dragons do together…? Well, now they can run their own farm and restaurant!
Oh, and there’s more…

I’ve played a lot of games over the years. Many of the ones I loved have since disappeared, which always feels like such a shame. Could I bring a little of what I loved about them back through my dragons? (Of course, this little dragon game isn’t exactly a AAA production…)
I’m pretty sure some of the anime I watched as a kid found their way into the game, too. If you’ve guessed which ones—yep, probably those. The ones where a little companion grows alongside the main character.
Oh, right! I’ve also hidden lots of Easter eggs! And I want to add even more!
The full version is already finished! I’m now busy polishing things up and working on optimizations—trying very hard not to get distracted. If all goes well, it should be out in November.
And… thank you for playing my game.
Hmm… that’s all for now!
